The gates of Malkia Park in Orechová Potôň were first opened on June 4, 2016. We named it after our first rescued lioness Malkia. In Swahilli, the name means queen, and since the lion is the king of animals, we can freely call Malkia Park a royal park. The animals that have taken refuge in our country have mostly been born in captivity and therefore would not survive in the wild. Although, unfortunately, we cannot give them real freedom, we take care of them with love so that they feel truly royal at us.
Representatives of many genera of felines have found their new home in our country (lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars, lynx, cougars, cheetahs). You can see gibbons, monkeys and lemurs, parrots, meerkats or turtles up close. You can pet and feed ungulates (zebras, camels, donkeys, sheep, goats, llamas) and poultry (geese, ducks, swans, ...) with our food.
The full operation of our park is very costly, so we will be extremely grateful for any form of your help. We will use the obtained funds to the last cent for food and veterinary care for our trustees, for the salaries of caretakers, or for the enhacement of enclosures.
