Description
The region of Horehronie is known for its rich metallurgical production, the center of which is the village of Podbrezová. This is where the Metallurgical Museum of Železiarne Podbrezová is located.
At present, the museum has two exhibitions open to the public. One of them is located in the interior and the other in the exterior of the museum. The internal exposition on twenty-two panels describes historical facts documented by photographs, materials and exhibits stored in fourteen glass showcases. The external exhibition presents preserved parts of metallurgical machines.
The museum also offers an interactive tour through its website. People can browse through the museum, browse through individual panels and showcases online. The museum also regularly organizes various exhibitions on metallurgy. To visit the museum, it is necessary to call in advance.
