Baňa Starovšechsvätých is a unique place where you can experience the history of mining craft in Slovakia for yourself. This historic mine, which has been in operation for over 700 years, offers you the opportunity to get to know the fascinating world of mining through surface and subsurface exposure. For brave adventurers, a unique experience is prepared - the opportunity totry the actual hammering of a corridor with a hammer and an iron!
A visit to Bane Starovšechsvátych is not only about mining. You will also be enchanted by the exhibition Flowers of Mines, which includes more than 3500 mineral samples. Each mineral has its own story related to its discovery or purchase, which makes this exhibition not only beautiful, but also educational. If you desire an even greater adventure, the summer months offer you the opportunity to become a real gold digger in a unique gold panning school!
Mine tours take place on weekdays at 9:00 a.m. and it is necessary to book them at least one day in advance. If this date does not suit you, it is possible to agree on another date after the previous agreement.
