The youngest permanent exhibition of the Slovak National Museum in Martin is the Museum of Czechs in Slovakia. The mission of this museum is to bring the authentic environment and the work of spouses PhDr. Anna Horáková and academician Jiří Horák, important personalities documenting the traditions of the relationship of Czechs and Slovaks. Their common life expresses the idea of cooperation between the Czech and Slovak people in the conditions of a common Czechoslovak state.
The Museum of Czech Culture in Slovakia will bring you to the authentic environment of an old-Martin awakening household from the end of the 19th century. The exposition was opened for the first time in November 1999 and still has a unique atmosphere that has captivated many visitors.
The premises of the museum, the former house of these two prominent personalities, are preserved in their original state and furnished with many personal objects, a rich library, art works as well as family monuments.
