The Museum of the Slovak Ceramic Sculpture is located in close proximity to the walls from the 17th century town fortifications and the courtyard is connected to the northern bastion where the Ignác Bizmayer Gallery is located. The Museum of the Slovak Ceramic Sculpture in Modra has prepared an exhibition entitled “From the History of Ceramics of Modra”, which was first presented to the public in 2017.
The exposition of Modra ceramics production has captured the traditional urban craft since the first written sources. It also emphasizes ceramic traditions, life in the pottery guild and products made by potters and jugglers in the workshops. In addition to pottery and juggling, in addition to the traditional ceramic assortment, there was also a rich figural creation, which is presented separately in the exhibition.
