Mysterious Church in Orava - Church of St. Cosmos and St. Damian - stands for sawback ruins about 5-10 minutes on foot over the village Sedliacka Dubová that cannot be omitted. It is a former Roman Catholic church and the first mention about it comes from the 14th century.
Sedliacka Dubová itself was originally built at the foot of Žiar Hill. However, over the centuries, it has spread to the Orava Valley, further away from the church. In the 19th century, it was decided to build a new, more easily accessible church in the village, but since it was not allowed to have two churches in the village at that time, they removed the roof from the old church on the hill and carried the altar. The original church has turned into a ruin and began to desolate. Only in 1998, works work with the goal to rescue the church started.
