The reconstructed historical building on Nedbalova Street in Bratislava houses the Gallery of Slovak Modern Art - Nedbalka. The gallery preserves and presents to the public the artistic jewels of Slovak giants who have formed part of our cultural heritage. The Nedbalka Gallery, due to its interesting interior design (five circular floors), can be compared to the small Slovak Guggenheim.
The gallery has more than 1,000 works by 83 major Slovak artists, with 160 permanent paintings and sculptures by Slovak artists of the 19th and 20th centuries exhibited in a permanent exhibition installed on four floors. Visitors have the opportunity to get a perfect and comprehensive idea of the Slovak art scene of this periods.
On the ground floor of the gallery visitors will find the current exhibition primarily devoted to the work of Slovak authors. Visitors will also find a pleasant relaxation zone - cafe and Artshop. The gallery is wheelchair accessible and a digital guide is included in the ticket price.
