The Nicholas Thege-Konkoly Museum was established in 2006 as a museum of astronomy with nationwide scope under the administration of the Slovak Central Observatory in Hurbanovo. The museum is located in the premises of the observatory, which consists of several specialized historical objects, such as the building of the old observatory, the seismographic, geomagnetic and spectrographic pavilion.
The museum is intended for all enthusiastic astronomy enthusiasts, but also for all those who want to meet the shining stars in the sky, as well as the very history of this remarkable science. Visitors can see the exhibition devoted to historical and current astronomical and meteorological instruments, which enable to create a comprehensive picture of the history of astronomy in Slovakia.
