Almost in the center of Humenné, on a rather rugged terrain, there is an open-air museum with an exposition of folk architecture and housing. The open-air museum in Humenné is relatively small but rich in folk architecture.
The dominant object is a beautiful all-wooden church, which originally stood in the village of Nová Sedlica. It was built in 1764 without the use of a single nail. The interior is decorated with charming iconostasis and altar.
Part of the open-air museum are also traditional houses of the Sub-Carpathian type and there are also farm buildings such as stables, barns and granaries. An inseparable part of the village architecture and the colour of the village were blacksmith workshops. One such transported from Nechvaľová Polianka also stands in the open-air museum. Workshop inventory is original.
A remarkable building is certainly a residential house connected with a mill coming from Vyšná Jablonka. The interior is equipped with folk inventory. The large mill mechanism with a hopper, with one stable and one rotating stone, attracts attention in the mill.
In the middle of the open-air museum, there is also a small amphitheater, which serves for various cultural events.
