A unique Outlier of Červený Kameň attracts from a distance like a magnet. A sharp rocky ridge with a rock needle and a massive rock wall create an impressive landscape scenery above the village of Červený Kameň.
The Outlier was declared a nature reserve in 1986. The dominant feature of this locality is a limestone monolith with a height of 45 m and a hill of Red Rock Hill 732 m above sea level. Fossils can be observed in the walls of these limestone rocks.
From the upper parts, there is a nice view of the surrounding hills and the village set in the valley. There is also an information board that tells you the rumour that the rock opens once a year and allows daredevils to enter its mysterious bowels.
Under the monolith, in the rock opening, there is a statue of the Virgin Mary, which was housed here to commemorate the 1500th anniversary of the Ecclesiastical synod in Ephesus. There is a short Educational Trail around Outlier of Červený Kameň leading from Červený Kameň to the outlier.
