The Bratislava City Gallery is by its size and importance the second largest gallery in Slovakia. Its activities are mainly associated with exhibiting a large collection of fine art in the form of permanent exhibitions as well as short-term exhibitions of Slovak and world art.
Its permanent exhibitions are installed in three historic palace buildings - Mirbach Palace, the Primate's Palace and Palffy Palace. The Palffy Palace is a building that offers a view of a number of major historical and architectural stages of the city's development.
