Príbelce - a picturesque village that hides thousands of prehistoric shark teeth, bones of fish and fossil mussels. If you are an enthusiast of paleontological findings and beautiful nature, decide to visit this locality for a long time.
Findings were discovered 40 years ago under the Holiaca hill in the so-called Piesková baňa (Sand mine), at times of sand extraction. If you have a baby shovel, sieve and arm yourself with a little patience, you can also discover shark teeth and keep them.
These paleontological findings can be found here because the land of Príbelice was flooded by the sea millions of years ago and there was a lively underwater life. Experts have determined the age of findings at 16.7 million years.
Even a 2.5-kilometer educational trail is placed on this local tourist attraction, which starts at the mansion of Láskari family and leads along the stone cellars from the end of the 19th century up to the Holica Hill.
