The beautiful Slanské Hills offer a varied array of monumental rocky peaks of volcanic origin that you will love at first sight. It also includes the hill of Praporec, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful in this area along with the neighbouring Šimonka Hill.
The Praporec hill rises above the village of Hermanovce nad Topľou and together with the surrounding hills, it is an ideal place for hiking in every season. The hill is a place that is still intact by civilization, so you can enjoy the virgin nature here.
The summit itself is surrounded by hefty rock formations of various shapes. These consist of volcanic rocks, especially of andesite. From the top, there are beautiful views of the surroundings. You can also visitt hills like Oblík, Šimonka, or Ivan's Hill. If you dare, you can climb the rocks and see even further.
The Praporec Hill is available from several directions. Using marked trails, you can get here from Rudlov, Zámutovo, Hermanovce nad Topľou, Hlinné, Dubník or Zlatá Baňa. The length of the exit route is approximately 7 km.
