The Red Sands Waterfall (orig. Vodopád Červené piesky) is located in the beautiful surroundings of the Prosiecka Valley surrounded by the Choč Mountains. It is considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Slovakia.

You get to it from Vidová in Prosiecka dolina, from where it leads short walkway to the blind valley of the Red Sands (Červené piseky), where you cand this 15 meters high waterfall.

In dry seasons, only a small strip of water flows in it, so if you want to see it in its full beauty, we recommend going there in the spring or after heavy rains.

From this point, you can continue hiking for sure. You will be welcomed by open arms of the nearby Kvačianska Valley, which also shines with its natural beauty and unique features. The most beautiful is in the spring, when the meadows are sprinkled with flowers and the surrounding area is decorated with green woody plants.
