Description
Richňava lakes are located on the outskirts of Štiavnické Bane (Štiavnica Mines). They are actually two artificial water reservoirs - Veľke Richňava Lake and Small Richňava Lake, which in the past formed only one lake built for mining purposes. Today, it is separated by a dike.
Thanks to the clean water, it is possible to bath in the lakes during the summer, which is why you will find many vacationers here. However, lovers of water sports, fishing and divers will appreciate Richňava Lakes too.
The water in the lakes is mostly deep, so it is recommended to swim near the shores that are rich in greenery.
Access to the lakes is very simple, and you can also go cycling on them. They are also available by public transport or you can come by car.
Along the lakes, there are several important hiking trails that will undoubtedly enchant many lovers of wandering in the woods.
