In the town of Trebišov, specifically in the city's historical park, there are unique ruins of a Gothic castle. Parič Castle used to be a representative seat of the aristocracy. It was built in the 13th century as a early lowland water castle. In 1684, the castle was conquered by Thököly's troops and two years later it was blown up.
After its brick remnants were used as a building material for the Andrassy mansion, it remained a tiny wall that still reminds passers-by of its magnificence and uniqueness.
In addition to the ruins of this castle, it is possible to admire in the historical park several other historical monuments, including the Mausoleum of Count Julius Andrassy.
