The one who loves Kysuce and their mountain environment will also love Rycierova hora. It is a hill located in Kysucké Beskydy. It is the second highest mountain of this mountain range, extending on the Slovak-Polish border and even the European dividing ridge passes through the summit itself.
In fact, the massif of this mountain has two peaks - Greater and Little Rycierova. They are separated from each other by a deep, grassy saddle called Halna, which provides beautiful views. From the top parts, you will not find beautiful views as they are quite densely forested, but they offer great hikes in a quiet forest environment.
The shortest route to Rycierova Mountain leads from the settlement of Podrycierová (about 5 km) - the village of Nová Bystrica. From the west, the blue-marked ridge leads from the direction of Veľká Rača. It is also available from the Polish side from the nearby Hala Rycerzowa, where there is also a mountain hut.
