Perhaps the most beautiful sightseeing spot in the Pohronský Inovec mountain range is the Sedlová skala (Saddle Rock). This massive mountain of volcanic origin rises above meadows, pastures and scattered houses of Stará Huta near Nová Baňa.
The saddle rock is one of the stops of the local Vojšín educational trail. On the top, there is an information board as well as a relaxation bench. The peak of the Saddle Rock is partly forested, but it still offers beautiful views of the Kremnica and Štiavnica Mountains along with Poľana and Vtáčnik or the Greater Fatra Mountains.
The route to the Saddle Rock is not demanding and you can certainly make it with the children. Educational trail Vojšín leads from the village of Stará Huta (about 3 km) or from the village of Malá Lehota (about 6 km). It's bi-directional. However, you can also reach the Saddle Rock by the marked hiking trails from Nová Baňa (about 3 km) and Veľka Lehota (about 3 km).
