Description
Sedielko is a mountain saddle located in the main ridge of the High Tatras. It separates Wide Tower and Small Ice Peak. It is the highest mountain saddle that includes a marked trail.
Sedielko is bidirectional, so you can go for a hike both from Starý Smokovec and from Tatranská Javorina. Due to time and height profile, this is a more challenging hike that requires good fitness.
From Sedielko, you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding peaks as well as deep Tatra valleys or charming, glittering lakes. The center of the hiking trail, whether it starts at Hrebienok (about 8 km), in Smokovec or in Javorina, is Téry's cottage, where you can relax, refresh yourself and prepare for either the ascent or descent.
