
In the vicinity of the metropolis of Eastern Slovakia, there is a massive rock called Skárošská Lookout. This tempting place is adjacent to the hill of Greater Milič and together belong to the mountain range of Slanské Hills.
The top parts of this large limestone rock provide beautiful views of the wide surroundings. You can enjoy views of the city of Košice, Košice Basin, Slovak Karst, Volovské Hills on the Hungarian side of Zemplín Hills and in good weather the High Tatras.
The lookout is located on the edge of the Marocká hoľa nature reserve, characterized by primeval vegetation on volcanic rocks. Skárošská Lookout is accessible by several marked hiking trails, starting points can be villages of Skároš (about 5 km), or Slanská Huta (about 3 km), or Lake Izra (about 7 km).
