A trip to this site is not difficult. On the way here you will be accompanied only by beautiful views and mysteriously former ancient civilization. From a distance you will be welcomed by a replica of a huge Slavic gate, which consists of a wooden tower with a height of 11 meters.
The wooden tower has 2 floors, in which the village Bojná established an exhibition that brings a breathtaking view of the finds from the Great Moravian Empire. Among the most interesting findings found here is definitely the gilded plaques, which proves that Christianity was in Slovakia before the arrival of Cyril and Methodius.
At the Valy hillfort you can also visit the reconstruction of Slavic dwellings or the reconstruction of the defensive rampart. The Slavic fortified settlement Valy is open all year round. You can get here on foot or by bike from the village Bojná, from where it is about 5km.
