As a commemoration of the events of 1944 and 1945, which took place in the area of scattered settlement of U Rehušov, but also at Horné and Dolné Paseky, and also as a tribute to the brave inhabitants of these settlements, who bravely kept their honour, the memorial of the Slovak National Uprising was unveiled on September 10, 1967.
The memorial is the work of the sculptor Vladimír Farár from Bratislava. It is a massive pole made of duralumin and aluminum pipes. The relief made of embossed copper depicts the horrors of war and human sacrifices, the trumpets depict the flame that flared up in the uprising for the liberation of our homeland.
In the settlement of U Rehušov, there are more interesting places, eg. Commemorative room of anti-fascist fighters with period photographs and exhibits. It is a house under number 211. We also recommend to visit other attractions, for example, church, water reservoir, Museum of agricultural technology of Pavol Repta, who placed his private collection of agricultural equipment in the former cowshed of the local agricultural cooperative. This collection is extensive and unique in terms of the number of exhibits and species.
