The Small Carpathian museum in Pezinok is focused on the wine-growing and wine-growing tradition of the Small Carpathian region. More than half a century it is collecting and presenting collections from all around the region - whether it's folk clothing, ceramics, fine art, utility art, and especially wine-growing and wine-making items.
Specifically wine presses are the biggest pride of the Small Carpathian Museum in Pezinok, because it has the largest collection not only in Slovakia but also in Europe. However, you will not find two identical presses - each of these collection items is different.
The museum is located in the center of Pezinok, in a burgher house from the 17th century. The house has a basement, which provided an opportunity to build an interactive cellar exposition.
The Small Carpathian Museum also prepares or collaborates on a number of exhibitions and events, such as Pezinok Wine Cellars, Richard Reti Memorial, Night of museums, Ceramic Markets, Apple Feasting, etc. It also provides space to musical bands, theaters and students, as well as artists or curators.
