The trip to the Drienčany Karst is not only about recreational experience but also about hiking. The educational trail will inform you about the local attractions as well as the natural rarities.
Its short section passes also through the fluviocarst cave, which is called Small Drienčanská Cave. The cave will enchant you not only with its karst walls, but also with its eye-catching installation of the focus and dummy pots from the Kyjat culture, which will take you to the age of 2,500-3,000 years ago.
The Small Drienčanská Cave with horizontal and 1 vertical holes is located on the left bank of the river Blh. It is 79 meters long and is one of the longest known caves of the Driečansky Karst.
The cave is open to the public at any time of the year. It is interesting to note that during World War II it served as a shelter for the local people from German troops.
