Description
Strážov Hill is the highest peak of Strážovské Hills. Despite the fact that it is quite high for the landscapes around, the climb to its top is not so demanding.
Strážov is a spectacular sight-seeing hill from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the wide surroundings, especially the White Carpathians, Javorníky, Beskydy. The peak is meadowy and offers plenty of room to relax and regenerate.
The top part of Strážov belongs to the Strážov National Nature Reserve. The subject of protection is occurrence of karst phenomena (rocks, caves, abysses and waterfalls), and well-preserved forest communities with a rare occurrence of some rare species of fauna and flora.
Strážov Hill offers excellent tourism in any season and also for all ages. The ascent takes about 2 hours and can be started either in the village of Čičmany or Zliechov.
