The village of Ľuboreč has many attractions, monuments and historical artefacts. In the forest behind the village, there is a mysterious, ancient place, which has become a local attraction. These are Tartar cellars carved in sandstone.
It is said that 400 years ago, at the time of the Tartar raids, they served as a hiding place for both humans and cattle. There were originally three such cellars in the forest, but at present there are only two existing. The third, and probably the largest, was buried in the bombing during World War II. It is interesting that there are engravings on the walls of the cellars, but the secrets have not yet been revealed.
The cellars are located about a kilometer from the village and can be reached by a comfortable forest road. Information boards will also make your orientation in the terrain easier. The forest road is ideal for cyclists too.
