The Tatras would not be the Tatras if there were no enchanting glittering lakes, mountain lakes or waterfalls. They refine the harshness of the majestic and wild peaks. One beautiful lake, Ťatliakovo Lake, is also located in the Roháčska Valley, surrounded by coniferous forests and massive hills.
The lake has an excellent location and although it is not one of the largest or the deepest ones, there is no lack of visitors. It is located near the mountain cottage of the same name. For many West Tatras tourists, Ťatliakovo Lake is a pleasant stop at the ascent to Roháče.
Ťatliakovo Lake is accessible via several marked trails. Probably the most ideal route leads along the red-marked asphalt road from Zverovka (about 5 km). The green trail is accessible from the Zábrať Saddle and the blue trail from Smutná Valley.
