Description
Trenčín Museum is one of the most developed regional museums in Slovakia. It is located in a beautiful late-Baroque palace-type house that ranks among the most beautiful in the whole of Trenčín.
The Trenčín Museum, with more than 120 years of history, manages collections of historical, artistic, natural, literary-historical or ethnographic character, rich collections in the fields of numismatics, faleristics, philocartia, militaria and weapons, art crafts.
The county house offers visitors a permanent exhibition "From the history and culture of the free royal city of Trenčín and the former County of Trenčín", which is installed on the first floor. The exhibition focuses on homeland and contains a part of natural history, history, art history, archeology and ethnography.
