Description
What about standing in the territory of three countries at one time? No problem! The symbolic place, where the borders of the three countries meet (Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland), is called the Tripoint which offers every visitor a unique and very powerful experience.
The meeting point of borders of three states is located above the village of Čierne, in a pleasant wooded area with easy access. There are 3 granite monoliths with state emblems - each in another country.
The tripoint is a very popular locality in every season for locals and residents. Many come here to roast, grill, cycle or just walk and relax.
This place is also a frequent venue for various events, such as New Year's Eve at the Tripoint, the tourist march through the Three European Countries, the Eucharist Celebration at the Tripoint, or the famous Goral Marathon.
The shortest exit for Slovak visitors is from the railway station Čierne pri Čadci - stop. From there, the green and blue hiking trail leads to it, taking about an hour.
