The Važec Cave is 530 meters long and is located in the Važec Karst, on the western edge of the village of Važec.
In its underground spaces, there are mainly stalactites, stalagmites and sinter lakes. The Važec Cave is also a significant paleontological site of bones of the cave bear (Ursus spelaeus), which was larger and heavier than today's brown bear. Most bones can be seen in the alluvial cave corridors called Kostnica (Charnel House). Visitors can watch this prehistoric beast in form of dummy in the cave even today.
