The Veľká Domaša dam is a multi-purpose waterworks in the Vranov nad Topľou district. It was created by damming the Ondava River near the now flooded village of Veľká Domaša between 1962 and 1967.
Warm climatic conditions around the dam create suitable conditions for swimming, water sports and fishing in several recreational areas around the reservoir. Domaša is one of the warmest reservoirs in Slovakia.
In the summer months, most holiday resorts are pulsing with the vibrant nightlife associated with discotheques and interesting cultural events. The most popular events include Domaša fest or Miss Domaša competition.
