Veľká Svišťovka is one of the most visited peaks in Tatra Mountains, even though it is the smallest hill in the wider area. Veľká Svišťovka is characterized by its typical appearance, which resembles a rather stone-grassy mound, but it will enchant you from afar and you can enjoy the most beautiful views of it from the Green Mountain Lake or the Great White Mountain Lake.
Climbing the Veľká Svišťovka is certainly not the easiest task and will cost you some power. Particularly due to the length of the ascent route or the technically secured section, this is a medium-demanding tour. The fantastic reward for conquering the summit of Svišťovka will be breathtaking panoramic views not only to the Kežmarok White Water Valley, but also to the Podtatranská Basin, ridge of Belianske Tatry and other majestic peaks of the High Tatras.
Below the summit, there is Saddle below Svišťovka where the hiking trail Tatranská magistrála passes from Skalnaté Mountain Lake (about 3 km) to the Cottage at Green Mountain Lake. Access is therefore possible from both Skalnaté (about 3 km) and Green mountain lakes.
