The Galmus Mountains are beautiful but relatively little known among tourists, and therefore little visited. This mountain range hides several interesting places and amazing natural creations. If you decide to go here, you shoul definitely not omit the lookout on the Vysoký vrch (ie High Hill) above the village of Poráč.
The northern side of the Vysoký vrch is about 20 meters high and 3 - 10 meters wide rock wall and on the southern slope, there is a nature reserve of the same name. From the top, you will have a beautiful but limited view. Towards the west, you will see Kojšovská hoľa hill, in the northwest, Pokryvy hill, and Prielohy hill in the north. In good weather you should also see the peaks of the High Tatras. At the top, there is a shelter with table and bench, information board, signpost and wind rose.
The nature trail of Šarkanova diera passes through the locality, while Vysoký vrch is its second stop. The circular nature trail is 2.8 km long and starts in the village of Poráč. It will introduce you to the local history, population and natural attractions.
Good starting points, however, are also Alpinka, recreational centers of Jahodná and Ružín-Košické Hámre, as well as villages of Kysak and Veľká Lodina.
