On the stream of the Kopanica stream, in the village of Pohorelá, nature created a beautiful waterfall called "Waterfall below Orlová". Its water veil falls from a height of five meters directly on the rock wall. The waterfall is located in an inconspicuous and relatively little known part of Slovakia, which is, however, immensely varied on natural wealth and will not disappoint even the more skilled tourists.
The waterfall below Orlová is part of the tourist circuit along the green-marked path. The starting point is on the square of Pohorelá (about 5 km). The route will take you through the charming valley of Lukáčikova as well as through sections with interesting rock formations to the waterfall itself.
If you are saturated with the charm of the Waterfall below Orlová, you can continue along the forest road to Salašná and alternately through the forest and forest clearings through the Skalka massif with beautiful views of the peaks of Orlová and Bartková. The tourist route includes also interesting views of the Muránska Plateau, dominated by Gindura, Great and Small Stožka and the massif of Fabová hoľa (grassy upland).
The entire round trip can be completed in less than four hours. Due to its relatively undemanding terrain, we recommend it also for less able-bodied tourists and families with children who will have fun on the road as well.
