The wooden articular evangelical church dates from the 17th century and was built on the order of Job Zmeškal - the captain of the castle guard at the Orava Castle and the first "vicišpán" (Vice Administrator) of Dolný Kubín. The church is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The architecture represents a typical 17th-century church model, and a parsonage was built in its vicinity with the church. Spruce wood from surrounding forests was used for construction. The interior of the church is richly decorated. Wall painting and Baroque altar with woodcarving dominate here.
Every Sunday, evangelical Services of God are held in the church. Even Pavol Országh Hviezdoslav was baptized here.
