The beautiful Greek Catholic Church of the Protection of the Holy Mother of God in Korejovce was built in 1764. It stands in beautiful surroundings surrounded by woods and greenery. It is one of the smallest Slovak wooden churches, but it certainly belongs among the most picturesque.ones.
The church is a three-part log house with a shingle roof. It is built on a stone foundation that increases its height to the west. A decorative three-legged cross is set above each of the three bulbs of the tower.
The interior is decorated with an iconostasis, while the individual icons are stacked on four floors. On the southern side of the church, there is a well-preserved bell tower. Three bells from 1769, 1771 and 1996 are hung in the belfry. The restoration of the temple and belfry was completed in 2000.
The wooden church in Korejovce belongs to the administration of the Greek Catholic parish office in Krajná Bystrá.
