Beautiful afternoon or weekend with your children can be experienced in the middle of the green hills of western Slovakia behind the village of Modrová. Here you can find something that you certainly would not expect.
The traffic sign will tell you that you are on the territory of New Zealand, and the next one will notifiy you with "Caution Kangaroos". Just a few moments, and in addition to kangaroos, Scottish cattle, sheep, goats and even emu are staring at you too.
The New Zealand is the name of a farm built in 2005. Animals have been imported here and are bred according to the New Zealand method. You cannot touch or stroke them, but they'll run somewhere around you.
In addition, you will also find a Maori and New Zealand culture exposition on the farm, which will complement the knowledge about New Zealanders. In an almost authentic forest environment, you will see the dwellings where the Maori used to live 300 - 400 years ago.
And if you have still not enough of adventure, the farm offers a unique opportunity to find yourself in the middle of the Hobbit Valley. You can take pictures at the hobbits' dwellings and thus make a memory about the visit of the valley of Hobbit country.
Pets are not allowed on the farm. New Zealand Farm is open seasonally. You can find the opening hours on the farm website.
