In 1984 in the town of Stropkov, on the initiative of children and parents, the construction of the Station of Young Naturalists at the House of Pioneers and Youth began. After 1990, the station was transformed into a ZOO park and, thanks to its enthusiasts, the construction carried on without any funding.

The resort is located in the town center on the main road to Poland and Ukraine. Our effort has been from the beginning of the park building to provide children with facility giving the opportunity to have fun, but mainly to learn. Every year, more than 40,000 admirers visit the park not only from Slovakia but also from abroad.

For the enjoyment of small visitors, the area is completed with atypical children's facilities, a fairytale buffet of Little Red Riding Hood, or a contact ZOO for children with the possibility of feeding animals. The barrier-free environment is also suitable for the disabled.
