The characteristic feature of the village of Telgárt is not only a charming alpine nature, but also a unique object called the Chmaroš Viaduct. It is a stone railway bridge that rises above Gregor's Valley.
The bridge was built in 1933. It rises to a height of 18 meters and consists of nine arches with a length of almost 114 meters. It was named after the Chmarošek brook, which winds just below it.
This beautiful and gigantic technical monument can be seen from the main road, so it cannot be overlooked. All you have to do is park your car and enjoy the monumental beauty of the Chmaroš Viaduct. For tourists we recommend a walk from the village Telgárt, from where leads to the site about 1 km long marked trail and other unmarked roads. It is an easy and very pleasant walk.
