If you are looking for an unpretentious hike in which you can relax and crown it with beautiful views, make sure to follow the footsteps of the Eductaional Trail Jasov Rock, which begins and ends in the village of Jasov.
The educational trail was built in 1989 and consists of a short circular walking trail. It is situated in the outskirts of the National Park Slovak Karst, more precisely in the nature reserve of Jasovske dubiny. It is only less than 2 kilometers long and you overcome an elevation of only 100 meters, making this educational trail an excellent choice for less skilled tourists and families with children.
The hike to Jasov Rock is particularly interesting during the summer, because you will be enchanted by the beautifully blossoming nature, with the appearance of protected species of plants, and singing birds over your heads.
On the trail you will find Jasov Cave, Premonstratensian monastery, or a set of ponds.
The Jasov Rock itself is naturally divided into three parts and hides a trench of a former castle from the 14th century with partially preserved stone masonry.
The walkway is double-sided, so if you are already saturated with beautiful views of the surroundings, you can go back by the same route.
