The eastern foot of the Sidorovo Hill is adorned with an impressive limestone rock needle that bears the name of Krkavá Rock.With its height of 22 m it is one of the highest rock needles in Slovakia. The locality is very popular not only with hikers and cyclists but especially with climbers, because there are about 15 climbing routes of various difficulty.

The rock formation was created under the influence of erosion. It is made of limestone and dolomite. The Krkavá Rock is declared a natural monument. Rare species of limestone flora are growing in its surroundings - primula auricula, Clusius' gentian, Pulsatilla slavica or Dianthus praecox. There are pine and beech stands on the top of the rock.

Under the rock, there is a shelter where you can relax or hide in case of bad weather. There is also a focal point for roasting tasty dishes or other goodies. The nearby spring of pure water will certainly refresh you, especially during the summer days.

The hike to the Krkavá Rock is undemanding and suitable for the smallest hikers. Access to the rock is possible along the technical route between Ružomberok and Vlkolínec. This leads from the guesthouse of Gejdák to the church in Vlkolinec. The rock is visible directly from the road and it is necessary to ascend about 50 m from the wooden landing by the road. There is also a marked cycling route from Ružomberok to Vlkolínec.
