In the idyllic environment of the Orava Highlands and Choč Mountains, nearthe municipality of Vyšný Kubín, there is a large meadow with a prehistoric settlement called Mokrý Kút (ie Wet Corner). The unique archaeological park offers a unique and rare experience for both small and large visitors.
The settlement of Mokrý Kút will literally bring you to ancient times. The prehistoric settlement is divided into a residential area, an economic area comprising crops and animal husbandry and a production area. The main part is the reconstructed house of Lusatian culture of Orava type.
Visitors have a unique opportunity to see how people lived in prehistoric times, making their living, what they wore or what tools and utensil they used in everyday work. There are also functional ovens for bread, ceramics or bronze melting.

„Osada určite funguje. Nie je to bežné múzeum, kde celý deň sedí pani za okienkom a predáva lístky. Určite si treba aspoň deň dopredu zavolať a dohodnúť sa na čase návštevy, samozrejme pokiaľ máte záujem o sprievodcu a výklad s ukážkami (kontakty sú uvedené vyššie, takisto je možnosť sa preklikať na náš Facebook). Záujem o návštevu našej osady nás vždy poteší. Osada je projektom občianskeho združenie, takže sa mu venujeme v našom voľnom čase. Osada je vždy v určitom procese, robia sa rôzne údržby a opravy. Čo samozrejme nemá žiadny vplyv na zážitok, ktorý je u nás možné zažiť.“
