Directly above the houses of the village of Šurice, there are the remains of the Soví hrad (Owl Castle) on the high cliff. The history of the castle is unclear. In the literature, the place on the map is referred to as the Owl Castle defined only as a natural creation and a natural monument.
The Owl Castle is a natural monument. The subject of protection is a very rare rock formation. The cliff was created as a volcanic chimney filler in the early quarters. On the top of the volcanic cliff there are faint traces of castle walls. The summit offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
The location lies on the outskirts of the village and an undemanding walkaway leads to it. If you would like to climb the top of the rocky, be careful, because the rock is relatively fragile and it is necessary to have climbing skills and the necessary equipment for climbing.
