One of the youngest museums in Slovakia is the Kysuce Museum in Čadca. It boasts of the largest collection of objects around Kysucké Nové Mesto. The Kysuce Museum in Čadca is a regional homeland museum, but also a specialized museum for the area of museum documentation of forest railroad development in Slovakia.
In its report it has five exhibitions that offer a wide portfolio of cultural and historical aspects related to the Kysuce region. The extended expositions are: Museum of the Kysuce Village in Vychylovka, Radoľa Mansion, Forest Caputium Railway in Vychylovka and Homeland museum in Krasno nad Kysucou.
Founded in 1972, the museum is a historic building standing on Moyzesova Street. The Kysuce Museum in Čadca is under the founding competence of the Žilina self-governing region. In its exhibition space in Čadca, it offers visitors various themed exhibitions.
