One of the small Carpathian seven-hundreders is the hill Čmeľok. It rises above the Pezinská Baba Mountain Crossover and the picturesque mountain village of Pernek. The hill does not stand out from the vast elevations, but it offers a truly diverse hike that is characterized by a steep climb.
The deforested slope and the top of Čmeľka offer limited but very nice views of the surroundings. Certainly, the Vysoká and Vápenná hills will not escape the attentive eye. At the top of Čmeľka, there is an old military transmitter and somewhat lower, there is also a radar.
Due to the steep climb, it is a moderate hike. The easiest way to get here is from Pezinská Baba (about 1.5 km) or from the village of Pernek (about 4 km). The area is also characterized by the numerous occurrence of mountain animals, so when wandering, you can find wild boar or mouflon here too.
