NPR Dobročský prales is one of theoldest protected nature reservesin Slovakia, with a history of protection that dates back to 1913. This unique area is valuable for the preserved remnants of the original forests that developed here over millennia .
The Dobroč Forest is so important that it is protected by the highest 5th level of protection and it is completely closed to the public. Nevertheless, there is a unique opportunity to glimpse into this mysterious landscape through the excursion path that leads around the primeval forest.
If you are interested in a trip, the Civic Association VYDRA in Čierno Balog organizes tours with an experienced guide. If interested, these excursions take place during the summer holidays every Saturday or during the week based on an order. Outside of the summer holidays, tours are available on request throughout the year.
Each of these half-day trips starts in the morning and lasts approximately 2-3 hours. Due to the easy movement along the trail, the trip is also suitable for families with children.
