You can admire the natural beauty in bounds of the village of Veľké Rovné and its close and distant forests, meadows or hills from above too. All you have to do is climb the low hill of Luby. Right there is a wooden lookout tower.
The lookout tower is 19 meters high and was built as part of the European project "Rural Development Program 2007-2013". It is a fire tower and in the past it was a triangulation point, known as "visa", and was part of the triangulation network of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy.
In the vicinity of the observation tower, there is a signboard indicating that unauthorized entry is prohibited. Anyway, it is easy to climb the lookout tower. Looking from the top in the northern direction, it is possible to see the highest peaks of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy, hills like Kněhyně, Smrk, Lysá hora, Travný, but also the boundary Beskydy ridge with Veľký Polom Hill.
The starting point to the observation tower can be the settlement Vrchierka or Záblatie, that are about 1.5 km away. If you want to continue in the hike, there is a tourist trail leading from the lookout tower, which will take you to other mountains and dispersed settlements of Javorník-Kysuce area.
