Žibrid is the second highest peak of the Súľovské Mountains, but the highest peak in the wide surroundings of the village of Súľov is Hradná. Hiking on this hill offers very varied and attractive landscapes ending with the most amazing views.
Žibrid Hill boasts of an impressive peak with massive rock cliffs, among which a flagpole with a Slovak flag is set. The wind blows quite often on the summit, but it certainly won't stop you from enjoying** beautiful views of the eastern part of the Súľovské Mountains**. There, you can also find observation rosette which will certainly help you in your orientation.
However, in addition to nice views and good tourism, Žibrid offers even more - a breathtaking rock formation called Zbyňovský budzogáň. It is a 14-meter-high phenomenal natural creation that seems to have grown from the ground. It is ranked among the 7 most beautiful natural beauties in Slovakia. There is also a nature trail with 6 stops.
Climbing to Žibrid is not difficult, but it is necessary to expect that you will overcome a greater elevation. Žibrid hill is accessible on marked hiking trails from the villagesof Súľov (cca 4km), Zbyňov (cca 5km) as well as Rajecké Teplice.
