The diverse mountains of Kremnica Hills offer truly attractive tourism for even the most demanding tourists. Kremnica Hills are full of secret corners and places that are not visited by tourists, but still hide enormous natural beauty.
One of these little explored localities is also Flochová Hill, which is an extinct volcano from the Tertiary and one of the highest volcanoes in Slovakia. The hill is densely forested, but you can still seethe rest of the volcanic activity here.
The hike to the Flochová mountain range is characterized by beautiful nature, divine silence, solitude, and limestone andesite sinks with caves. The entire route will not take you more than 4-5 hours at a quiet pace. Over the course of the journey, you will cross over 600 meters of altitude and a few steep sections.
Flochová is accessible by marked hiking trails. You can start your route from several villages such as the village of Čremošné, Turček and Kordíky, but also the Malý Šturec Saddle or the settlement of Horný Harmanec.
