In the forests above the village of Lehôtka pod Brehmi, there are the Kapitulské rock cliffs formed by rhyolite lava. Active lava flow created remarkable rocky hills, seas and high rock towers as high as 20-30 meters, which today form a gateway to Štiavnické Hills.
Due to their uniqueness, the Kapitulské rock cliffs are a natural monument. These cliffs are not accessible via official paths, so if you go for hiking, you should have at least a sense of orientation
The Kapitulské rock cliffs offer a beautiful lookout, where a wooden cross is set. In the enchanting panorama, you will surely discover the nearby towns such as Hliník nad Hronom, Žiar nad Hronom, the village of Sklené Teplice, as well as the nearby valleys, basins and mountains.
Rosy-coloured rocky walls are home to thermophilic, forest-stepped vegetation with many rare species. There is also another interesting natural creation nearby, the Szabó's Rock, which you can also visit on the way.
It is easiest to get to the Kapitulské rock cliffs from Sklené Teplice, Lehôtka pod Brehmi, from Horné Opatovce, or from Žiar nad Hronom. From there, the red hiking trail will lead you to the crossroads of Kečka, from which you have to turn to an unmarked trail underneath the power line and then just look for the right trail leading to the lookout point.
